BE POSITIVE

Along with the mantra of being positive, spending quality time with family and children makes Ramnath Pokale's life stress and tension free

Ramnath Pokale,
Siddhachal

ADDL. Superintendent of Police, Ramnath Pokale (39) residing in Siddhachal handles a large jurisdiction-starting from Vasai to Mira Road and through Bhayandar and Virar up to Nala Sopra. Hence, just like the vastness of his jurisdiction he can give you a tiny picture of the pressure handled every day.

He leaves his home at 9.30 am without any knowledge of the time he is going to return. Ramnath Pokale has one fixed agenda, which does not change, that is to think and act positively. Beginning the day with the most positive feature - prayers, he spends the rest of the day .on that note and ends the day with a small prayer too.

After waking and prayers he takes a brief walk if possible with some yoga and meditation if time allows. After breakfast, he heads off to work. While traveling to work in the jeep he reads about four different news papers in English, as well as Marathi.

During the day with routine work and some new challenges, which are thrown on him from time to time, he has no compunction in calling up colleagues, friends and wife far advice on various issues if warranted. Good ideas and solutions can come from anywhere is his belief as everyone has something to offer.

Dinner with family and friends once a week and going to his muluk in Beed after almost every three months to meet parents is a good way of having a holiday. A holiday of three to four days is another way to combat stress and be relaxed for this superintendent.

The twin mast important ones is being with his wife and playing with his two chiidren of 10 and eight years. Besides this, reading non-fiction books and periodicals is what he looks forward to.

Once home, after finishing the work he takes a leisurely shower, spends some time with his wife, watches some television serials, movies and catches up about the latest news at night. His greatest stress reliever is talking to his with and children.
