"STRESS IS IN YOUR HANDS"

This Thaheite believes that you either take stress or leave it. And his decision to leave it is what has made his life stress-free

Ganesh Kundapur, the Associate Group Head at SBICI has a unique way to relieve his stress levels. One of his secrets is to climb 10-12 floors at his Nariman Point Office and walk down! Another act is to meditate as often as possible. This act of meditation not only calms him down, but adds to his energy levels.

He has to begin his day by 5.30, as he leaves for office by 7.30 after puja and breakfast.

The first part of his job is to manage the funds of his bank and the second is the trading of foreign exchange. The whole day is comprised of meetings, analyses and forecasts with reports being prepared based upon his evaluation of the project, and stress levels are understandably high. A short stroll after a light lunch brought from home it is out for a short walk for some fruits and a few peanuts, it is back to the grind and more stress.

He quips, "Stress is about 90 per cent of my job, and I have two choices - take it or leave it and I choose to leave it."

Life outside work is devoted to his family. Once home, after a brisk walk from the station, a bath is first on the agenda. Catching up on news, movies and lots of talks with his wife is next.

He enjoys fine dining and travels to nearby hill stations very often. Twice a year, he takes a holiday down south or visits hill stations up north leaving him very calm and stress free.

Light exercises, yoga, meditation, are a few of his favourite things to keep calm, stress free and fit at the end of the day and just before going to sleep.
