This petite village of Kalote, near Khapoli justly boasts
of clean air, a beautiful lake with boating. |

hills adjoining the lake lets you view a number of streams
flowing down the green hills, some of which merge and
become a waterfall.
You
could very easily climb up there and be a part of the
landscape. Lush greenery awaits you to unwind the city
stress, while you see darting squirrels and the chirping
of different birds at hand. |

If
you feel like it you could trek in the hills, where
nature soothes the only way nature can while refreshing
you. Wander about the hillocks among natures bounty
and you can unwind, relax and get wet under small waterfalls.
Most of the land is open but there are certain areasare
restricted as it is private property. |

After Panvel,
take a left turn at Hotel Green Park after Nishiland
and follow the road and you will be taken there.

There
are farms and the villagers, who can help you with food
and shelter if you talk to them about it.
Please
keep the area clean and do not litter for the villagers
to get their feet cut on broken bottles or by open tin
cans. |
